Nestled in the breathtaking beauty of the Western Mountains of Maine,
Tim Pond Camps is the oldest set of sporting camps in New England,
hosting registered guests since the mid-1800's. The present owners,
Betty and Harvey Calden, have been operating the camps since the early
1980's. The pond, which has never been stocked, offers a plentiful
supply of colorful native square tailed brook trout . Utilizing
classic Rangeley boats and canoes, guests are free to fish the entire
mile long pond in relative solitude. |

Guide service, though not usually necessary, is available for guests
who are interested. The rustic log cabins are heated by either wood
stoves or fireplaces, for which there is a generous supply of wood
furnished. Each of the eleven cabins offers a full bath with running
hot and cold water and daily maid service. |

Our experienced staff prepares home cooked meals and pastries which
are served in our spacious dining hall. We offer hearty breakfasts to
begin the day and dinner entrées such fare as prime rib, roast pork
loin, baked stuffed haddock, and roast turkey. Delicious homemade
desserts are the perfect finishing touch. Betty's cookie jar is always
full and available for snacks throughout your stay. |

Rocking chairs on the porch of each cabin are perfect for enjoying the
peace and quiet, reading or resting. Both men and women love Tim Pond,
perhaps for different reasons, but it eventually feels like home away
from home. Comfortable lodgings, an experienced, thoughtful staff and
fine dining complement the exceptional fishing. |
